The birth of the second fruit fish, Gokase grape kanpachi!
A winery in Gokase Town, which also has Japan's southernmost natural snow ski resort, and fishermen in Kitaura Town, which is blessed by the Kuroshio Current washing over the Hyuga Sea. These two exceptional companies have joined forces to create "Gokase Grapes Kampachi Sakura Mai ~AUBE~".
This new Miyazaki fruit fish is a fusion of the aroma of the earth and the blessings of the Kuroshio Current.
Long-lasting color due to polyphenol effect
The grape pomace used in wine production contains large amounts of polyphenols and other substances that are good for human health. Gokase grape kanpachi are raised by mixing dried grape powder with fish food in order to make effective use of it and to add value to farmed kanpachi.
We were able to confirm, in cooperation with the prefectural government and other organizations, that the progression of color change (browning) in the blood muscle after the fish is removed can be suppressed and the vivid color tone of the meat can be maintained for an extended period of time.
In addition, kampachi is rich in DHA and EPA, and has one of the highest levels of potassium, which is effective in preventing high blood pressure, among seafood, making it a highly nutritious fish that can contribute to people's health.
In addition, we are proud that the effective use of grape pomace produced in the wine-making process is part of our efforts to build a resource-recycling society, as well as an environmentally friendly approach.
